SONIA GAVRILOVA

Resident Physiotherapist

(She/Her)

I am Sonia, a Resident Physiotherapist with a lifelong passion for movement and helping people regain confidence and independence through physiotherapy. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia before working for two years as a Registered Kinesiologist. During this time, I developed expertise in exercise prescription for sports injuries, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and chronic pain, and earned my Soft Tissue Release Level I certification. I also worked as a Return-to-Work Support Service Provider, helping clients safely transition back to meaningful activities.

I went on to complete my Master’s in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, gaining experience across diverse settings including the ICU, home care, and neurological care with a focus on multiple sclerosis. I recently completed my final internship at Brockton Physiotherapy under the mentorship of clinic owner, Cesar Toledo.

Movement has always been central to my life—from competing as an international-level hip hop dancer to strength training, snowboarding, and Pilates. I am inspired by the confidence and independence physiotherapy can bring, and I bring curiosity, compassion, and a personalized approach to every patient I work with. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active, trying new fitness classes, and discovering Toronto’s hidden gems.
